Tourism Resources for Communities and Regions

For a community or region deciding to embark on tourism development activities, a number of factors must be considered:

  • What are your specific goals and objectives regarding tourism development in your community/region?
  • Does the community/regions and municipal council[s] support tourism?
  • Are there sufficient attractions and services in your community to support a viable tourism industry?
  • What tourism markets currently visit your community and what are their needs?
  • Does the community/region effectively market its tourism assets?
  • What additional marketing or development efforts need to be undertaken?
